Practical, intensive one-day workshop for self-published and traditionally published authors

Date: Saturday 7th July 2018

Venue: Central London Venue

Time: 10.00am to 5.00pm

How to market, promote & sell your book effectively

By the end of the day you will:

  • Know how to get your book listed, in stock, prominently positioned and selling on Amazon
  • Have written the copy for three pieces of essential marketing collateral for all published authors
  • Know how to make your book available in the Kindle store, the iBookstore and on your website
  • Be able to secure high quality testimonials, reviews and endorsements from influential people
  • Know how to generate regular, low cost publicity and media coverage
  • Know where self-published authors should go to outsource fulfilment and distribution
  • Learn how to create a ‘platform’ that will leverage your book’s sales
  • Know what to do to get your book stocked in Waterstones and other high street retailers
  • Know how to build upon any marketing that your publisher is undertaking

None of what we deliver is woolly theory. Nor is it about untried techniques. If you are expecting a day showing you how to achieve instant 'Amazon Bestseller' status, then this is NOT the day for you. (We're happy, by the way, to explain what others teach and promise on this subject, as long as you let us also explain why it's all smoke and mirrors!) The bottom line is that this is a practical, no nonsense day of learning and decision making. And it's 100% independent and impartial. So we will not be trying to steer you down a particular path. Every book is different, and the same marketing approach will not work for everyone.

This is practical stuff, and you will be put to work throughout the day. We will illustrate specific marketing models that you can follow to the letter. We'll also show you examples of book marketing that has worked, and others that have not, and explain precisely the reasons why.

Your course leaders are industry veterans Edward Peppitt and Katie Roden
